The Returns Desk: A Cozy Library
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy covers the game The Returns Desk: A Cozy Library, made by Lamplit, on Steam and on Meta Quest.
What we collect
Nothing. The Returns Desk does not collect, store or share any personal data with us or with anyone else. It contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no account system, and we run no servers.
What stays on your device
Your progress and settings are saved as files on your own device. If Steam Cloud is on, on PC, or Meta's Cloud Backup is on, on Meta Quest, that store keeps a copy of those files under its own privacy policy, so your save follows you to a reinstall or a new device.
What the game asks the store
Achievements you earn are recorded by the store you bought the game from, Steam or Meta, against your account with that store and under that store's privacy policy.
On Meta Quest the game also asks the Meta platform two things about the account on the headset: whether it owns the game, and its age category (child, teen or adult), which Meta requires of every game open to players aged 10 and up. The game uses each answer only in that moment: the first lets the game start, and the second changes nothing in the game. Neither answer is saved, sent to us or shared with anyone.
Children
The game is suitable for players aged 10 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Purchases and playtime
Your purchase and playtime are handled by the store. We receive only the aggregate sales reporting the stores provide.
Deleting your data
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete. To delete your save, uninstall the game and remove its cloud copy: in Steam, or on Meta's Cloud Backups page. Your achievements are held by Steam or Meta under your account with them.
If you have a privacy question or a request of any kind, wherever you live, write to lamplit.games@proton.me. We answer within 30 days, at no cost.
